Anita Fern Jenkins, of Irving, died on August 8, 2013. She was born in Lavaca County Texas to James Koonce and Louise Matula and worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, her parents, three brothers and one sister and is survived by daughter Teresa Whitley and husband Paul of Justin; son Curtis Jenkins, Jr. and wife Terry of Carrollton; daughter Lori Algood and husband Mark of Hico; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and sister Patricia Schlageter of Schulenburg. Graveside service will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10:15 AM with Reverend Jody Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
