Katie was the first daughter of James Madison Perrin and Virginia Gardner Perrin. She married Andrew Jack Pogue and had 2 children, Matt and Laura. After his death, she married Sid S. Lackey on March 2, 1882 in Franklin County, Texas. She is buried next to Sid (on the north). On her tombstone is written "We all loved her".
