She had fought a long, hard battle against osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and COPD.
She was born at St. Thomas Hospital on July 31, 1929 to Richard and Sophia Del Greco. Richard and Theresa Condor operated the Italian Village Restaurant for over 40 years.
Rosemary was a life-long resident of Akron who graduated from Buchtel High School in 1947 and from Akron City Hospital in 1950 as a Registered Nurse. After working at Akron City Hospital for two years as a head nurse, she worked for Dr. C. Damitz.
In 1965 she married James H. Griffin who operates Kromhard Twist Drill Company. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to family and her strong faith.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sophia Del Greco, and her brother, Dr. Kenneth Del Greco. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James; by sons, Mike (Julie) of Concord, Calif. and Tom (Terina) of Copley, Ohio; grandchildren, Trista, Tiffany, Joey, Alex, Natalie, Dominic and Theo; nieces, Debra (Jeff) Peterson of Virginia and Diane Del Greco of Akron.
Friends and family may call at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home at 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn on Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Sebastian Church on Friday at 11 a.m. followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
