Nellie Lucille(Schmid)Laube 95 of Fulton, passed away at Fulton Presbyterian Manor on August 9, 2013. She was born October 23, 1917 in Steedman, the daughter of the late Emil Schmid and the late Minnie (Vandeloecht)Schmid. On April 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to Russell R.Laube who preceded him in death on January 26, 2003.
Nellie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sisters, Hele Thompson and Ruth Powell, two sisters in law, Romaine Schmid and Alma Schmid ad numerours nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Schmid and Delbert Schmid and on sister, Gladys Jones.
Nellie was a member of the Mokane United Methodist Church and the Mokane Eastern Star where she received her 75 year pin. Nellie and her husband owned and operated Mokane Telephone Company, She also worked as a bookkeeper at J.C. Penny for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2013 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
