Nancy Roberge, 68, of Biddeford died peacefully on March 8, 2012 at Southern Maine Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Howland, ME on February 16, 1945, to Waltham and Yvonne(Ouellette) Belanger. The 2nd oldest of 5 beautiful children, her sisters Arlene DeSilva and Jeanne with her husband Phil McCabe and her two brothers, James with his wife Starr and Terry with his wife Murielle. She was a 1962 graduate of Biddeford High School and received a full scholarship for Nursing School and finished her 45 years of service as charge nurse of Southern Maine Medical Center.

On October 24, 1970 she married the love of her life Richard Roberge and together raised their 2 children, Marc with his wife Danielle and Kellie with her husband Aaron Barth. Her step-son Timothy with his wife Chrys were another one of her joys in life. They were blessed to have their granddaughter Camilla, who "loved them together" and have 3 other grandchildren Cody, Cam and Nicki that came into her life. She was blessed to have three god children, Jessica Goulet who became another daughter in her heart, Chris Belanger and Bonnie Sue Barrow whom she cherished. Her niece Angela Belanger stepped into her shoes as a nurse and will be taking her knowledge with all the patients she touches. She had the pleasure of having other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles that were witnesses of her love and she always found a way to make everyone feel special, even if it was as simple as a birthday card.

Throughout her life she maintained a simple demeanor that won the respect, trust and hearts of all people that were lucky enough to meet her. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, whether it be playing cards, telling the Patriots and Red Sox how to play the game, knitting something new, sewing a costume, hemming an outfit or simply teaching everyone how to be loving and caring people.

The family has made a special request that those who are attending the visitation please bring her favorite photo of Nancy to be added to a book of memories. The family is also asking that you write a paragragh or two about your fondest memories of Nancy to include in this book.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Thursday at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial was private. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.

In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to The "Camilla Roberge" College Fund at Hope Memorial or by
mailing a payment to 241 Hill Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.
