He died 23 June 1951 at a state hospital. Family records have this date of death and I have obtained his death certificate from the NJ state archives. Given that the gravestone looks relatively recent compared to the years of death of those interred here, we suspect that the stone was replaced at some point and the year 1951 incorrectly transcribed as 1931.
