Sidney Wallace Turner, 92, Fayetteville, died Nov. 19, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eloise Turner, and a grandchild, Jimmy Martin. He was a veteran of the US Army in World War II. He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, and an umpire for 46 years. He loved to garden and work in his yard. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Alice and Jim Martin, Senoia; grandchildren, Alice and Lee Burt, Dallas GA, Robert and Leslie Miller, Lithia Springs, and Amy and Shawn Baker, Jacksonville NC; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray and Louise Turner, Columbia SC; brothers-in-law, James and Sib Watkins, Fayetteville, and Jennings Watkins, Atlanta; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bineck, Baltimore, Alice and Bill Denard, Canton, and Sue and Hal Miller, Ringold.
