Cora Hawkins, 88, of Middletown, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 12, 1912, in Harlan, Ky., daughter of John Slusher and Maggie (Green) Slusher. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette (Elmer) Back of LaPort, Minn., Leona Robinson of Radcliff, Ky., and Lloyd Winna (James) Stamper of Gratis, Ohio; a son, John (Minta) Lawson of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chandler in 1977; a son-in-law, Don Robinson; and a grandchild, Mark Back.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with Pastor Brenda Cox officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis.
