Winona Marcella Shelton Kegley, 84, of Piggott died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.

She was born on June 20, 1921, in Holcomb, the daughter of the late W.R. and Willard Bailey Shelton.

She was united in marriage to Rev. Lloyd Kegley on May 28, 1938. They had four children. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Percilla Kegley; four brothers, Lloyd, Bud, Pearl and Elton Shelton; and two sisters, Ada Shelton and Stella Prince.

She was a member of the Hopewell General Baptist Church and served the Lord by taking care of others.

She is survived by two sons, Earl Kegley and wife, Janice, of Piggott and Dewayne Kegley and wife, Henry, of Marked Tree; one daughter, Linda Henderson and husband, Roy, of Nesbit, Miss.; six grandchildren, Jeffery Kegley, Janna Kegley, Julie Kegley, Valarie Green, Lisa Lee and Natalie Shaw; five great-grandchildren, Trip Doyle, Cody Doyle, Zachary Shaw, Sarah Green and Olivia Green; one brother, Ferrell Shelton; five sisters, Cinderella Ballentine, Lela Kegley, Alma Pollard, Mozella Show and Joyce Burke; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, in the Hopewell General Baptist Church in Greenway with Rev. Lavone Smart and Rev. Boyd Wicker officiating. Burial followed in Lynn Oak Cemetery near Clarkton. Pallbearers were J.T. Moody, Sam Williams, Byron Hill, Jimmy Show, Albert Dale Pollard and Dale Kegley.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
