Essie Hinze

Mrs. Essie Hill Hinze, 86, of Dry Run, Portsmouth Rt. 1, died Friday afternoon at Mercy Hospital. She was a widow of Carey Hinze who died in 1971.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Garnet Rice of Dry Run; three brothers, Carl Hill, 13366 Third St., West Portsmouth, Charles of St. Paris, Ohio, and Hugh of Columbus, and four sisters, Mrs. Lou Mault, Mrs. Ruth Brown, and Mrs. James Pelfrey all of Springfield and Mrs. Leroy Hood of Flat Rock, Mich. Two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services are to be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Pritchard Pancake officiating. Burial is to be in Rushtown Cemetery.
Friends may call after the funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight.
