Actor and writer. A real marshal prior to his work in Hollywood westerns, he had roles in the films: "The Apache Raider," "Thorobred," "The Valley of Hunted Men," "Fighting' Odds," and "The Iron Horse," between the years 1922 to 1928. He appeared onstage at the Hollywood premiere of "The Iron Horse." He was also the author of "I've Killed Men" and is credited for the story line for the movie "Prairie Gunsmoke." When he left films, he became a government investigator.
