This was my great-grandmother on my father's side. Helen was born in Dunnellon, Florida to first generation immigrants Nicholas Theios and Kaliopi (Eglezos) both from from Kalymnos, Greece. Helen was a lifelong restaurant worker/waitress/manager for my great grandfather Charles Dumas (Kostas Dounis/Doumas.) Though she had some mental issues and lived out her life in a hospital in Milledgeville, GA, upon her death in 1986 she was cremated and her ashes were sent to her brother, John Nicholas Theios in Florida. Upon his death in 1989, it was his wish that she be buried with him which is where she rests today, side by side under this tombstone.
