Van Buren Daugherty
Dallastown, May 27.—Van Buren Daugherty, aged 79 years, died last evening at 8 o'clock at his home here. Death was due to the infirmities of age. He had been in poor health for a year, but was confined to his bed for only a few weeks. He is survived by five daughters and four sons, as follows: Mrs. Annie Knaper, residing on a farm near Dallastown; Mrs. Lydia Stine, Dallastown; Mrs. Samuel Geesey, Dallastown; Mrs. Mollie Markey, Dallastown: Mrs. C. S. Flinchbaugh, Dallastown; W. R. Daugherty, Dallastown; Prof. Arias Daugherty, Dallastown; Charles Daugherty, Dallastown, and the Rev. George Daugherty, Greenmount, Md. The funeral will be held on Thursday, with services at the house at 1:30 p. m.

Dallastown, May 31.—The Rev. Samuel Daughtery, Annville, and the Rev. Joseph Daughtery, Harrisburg, attended the funeral of their uncle, V. B. Daughtery, yesterday.
—The funeral of Van Buren Daugherty, who died Sunday, was held Thursday afternoon, from the residence of his son, W. R. Daugherty, West Main street. Services were held in the Bethlehem United Brethren church. The Rev. G. W. Sherrick, the pastor, and the Rev. L. Walter Lutz, of Chambersburg, a former pastor, officiated. The pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased, were: Private Earl Daughtery, of Brooklyn, N. Y.; Artemas O. Stine, Hershey, Pa.; Norman Shermeyer, John Knaper, Oran Flinchbaugh and Martin Knaper. Interment was made in the Home cemetery.
