Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., on Friday, August 12, at 9:30 a.m., for Elma Marie Quiring who passed away on August 9, 2005.
Elma was born on May 12, 1928, in Bakersfield, CA to Adolph and Marie Quiring.
She lived her entire life in Bakersfield where she worked as a bookkeeper for Diefels Paint Store for over 25 years.
Elma cared full-time for both of her parents in their later years. Elma was our family historian and could recite from memory every birthday, marriage date and death. She was amazing with names as well and named relatives from every branch of the family tree from generation to generation. Elma was always so excited to join the family for holiday dinners and pitched-in to help every chance she got.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
She will be missed by her numerous family and friends including cousin, Mildred Lenmark and husband, Mason. Honorary Pallbearers are Mason Lenmark, Bill Foy, Robby Quiring, Rick Burnes and David Mitchell. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 11, 2005, from 3-8 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary.
