OBITUARY-
Myrtle J. Knudson, 87, of Austin, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1916, in Marshall Township, Minn., to Carl and Arnellie (Wiste) Knutson.
She graduated from the Adams High School in 1931. Myrtle was a home maker and resided on the family farm until her marriage to Clarence Raymond Knudson on April 23, 1960 at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams, Minn.
The couple made their home in Austin and in retirement they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
She was a member of Our Savior Church, Austin, where she was active in WELCA and with the quilters. She was also a volunteer at the St. Marks Lutheran Home.
She enjoyed her career as a home maker and maintained an immaculate home and enjoyed entertaining as well as gardening.
She is survived by her nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1981, one brother, one sister, a niece and a nephew.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and on Monday at the church for one hour prior to service.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn L. Monson officiating. Honorary bearers will be Allen Shurson, Dale Bergland, Alfred Knudson and Richard Brown. Casket bearers will be Craig Shurson, Roger Weness, Jon Canterbury, Jeff Severson, Mike Knudson and Francis Peterson.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
Funeral Home: Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, Austin.
Memorial: St. Marks Lutheran Home.
