Jason Lester Shepherd was born on January 29, 1987 in Watertown, SD to Kevin Fayant and Tamara Shepherd. Jason attended school in Tiospa Zina and Browns Valley, MN and received his GED at the Kicking Horse Job Corp in Ronan, MT. He loved his daughters, along with all his nieces and nephews. He liked riding horse, rodeos, breaking horses, playing cards and being with family. Jason was a part of the Dakota 38 Riders for several years. Jason passed away on August 7, 2013 at Lake Traverse, SD. Jason is survived by his mother, Tami Shepherd of Agency Village, SD; three beautiful daughters, JeNae, Jayanna & Joely of Sisseton, SD; four brothers, Charlie of Agency village, S D, Nate of Enemy Swim, SD, Derrick of Sisseton, SD and Darren of Sisseton, SD; Maternal grandparents Marva Shepherd of Agency Village, SD and Raymond Shepherd of Enemy Swim, SD; paternal grandmothers Roberta "Gypsy" Fayant of Enemy Swim, SD and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces and nephews. Jason was preceded in death by his father Kevin Fayant; sister Jessica Rose Shepherd; uncles Joshua Shepherd, Adrian Keeble, Andrew Shepherd Sr., Brice McKay; aunts Cheryl Fayant, Claudette Keeble; cousins, Ashley Kitto; grandfathers, Wilfred Fayant Sr., and Lester Shepherd; grandmother Shirley Shepherd; great grandparents, Eva and Raymond Shepherd Sr. and Joyce and Marvin Philbrick.
