Elizabeth K. (Kuhlman) Springer, age 93, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Springer had worked at Fendrich Cigar Company, St. Boniface School cafeteria and later for the EVSC at Helfrich Park School in the cafeteria. Elizabeth was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the PTA at St. Boniface School and volunteered at the church social and the church's bingo. She made beautiful quilts and baby bibs, loved to sew, bake kuchens and play clabber with her friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Jan Springer of Evansville; her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Cathy Springer of Indianapolis, IN; a grandson, Clay Springer; a niece, Peggy (Mark) Downey and two great nephews, Aaron (Amy) Baker and Jason (Christie) Stowers.
Mrs. Springer was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Springer in 1989; her parents, August and Margaret (Hauke) Kuhlman; three sisters, Loretta Kuhlman, Dorothy Kuhlman and Martha Smith; a brother, Elmer Kuhlman and a niece, Joan Kuhlman Stowers.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Herr officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
