Mrs. Wilhelmine Mueller, a pioneer of this county, died at Ormsby, July 21. She was born Jan. 28, 1839, in Germany. She received her common school education in Germany and was also confirmed in the old country.
As a young girl she emigrated to our good United States and was married to Mr. Friedrich Mueller.
They first settled down in Hampton Bluffs, Ill. Later on they moved to Clinton County, Iowa, then to Galena township, Martin Co., Minn. in 1885. She had lived here ever since, being one of the pioneers in this community, who diligently helped along to change the wild prairie into beautiful farm land.
Mrs. Mueller was a faithful member of the Evangelical Lutheran Immanuels chuch of Galena township. She died at Ormsby Sunday evening, July 21, age 79 ½ years. She was buried July 24th on the Galena Lutheran cemetery beside her husband, who passed away 24 years ago.
Rev. J. H. Hafner delivered a sermon in German and English to a large audience. Every seat in the church was taken.
The beautiful flower pieces, and the many people who came to do her last honors, shows the high regard and friendship many had for this good christian woman.
