Lindsey Marie Bonistall was murdered in her apartment complex on May 1st, 2005. She was a sophmore at the University of Delaware and was majoring in English and journalism.
As a teenager she belonged to the nationally ranked Good Council Cheerleading and Empire State All Star Cheerleading Teams. She won a Westchester County Cheerleadership Scholarship and was a coach in the sport both in her home state of New York and nationally. In addition she was the captain of her high school track and soccer teams. She also volunteered her time as a leader on the Mayor's Youth Council in White Plains.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Kathleen Bonistall; an older sister Kristen, and both her maternal and paternal grandmothers and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM on May 7th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Harrison, NY.
A memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of Lindsey at the University of Delaware.
