Elkport -- Special funeral services for Henry Louis Challand, who died at Bethany Home in Dubuque Friday evening, were held Monday afternoon at the Zearley Funeral Home at Garber, to the Lutheran Church at Elkport. The Rev. H.H. Steege, of Garnavillo, officiated at the church services and at the graveside in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Frerking, superintendent of Bethany Home, read the obituary, and Mrs. Frerking sang.
Casket bearers were Edmond Feidt, Frank Feidt, Ivan Feidt, James Borrett, George Borrett, and Arthur Jenning.
Edd and John Kuehnle, nephews, Mrs. John Kuehne, and Rev. and Mrs. Frerking, all of Dubuque, were among those who attended the services.
The Zearley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
