STACEY LEE ROBERTSON YOUNG, born March 5, 1919 in Velasco, Texas, to Lonnie E. and Laura (Dollie) Roberts, died August 9, 2005 in Houston, Texas at the age of 86. She was a member of the First Church of God in Houston and had worked as a medication nurse for 11 years. On Nov. 30, 1940 she married Charles Lee Robertson, Jr., he died in July of 1977. In 1960 she lost her 17 year old son, Charles Lee Robertson, III. She married Howard A. Young on Oct. 30, 1985, he passed away July 15, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Lonnie Fred Roberts, Edna F. Smith, and Henry Ford Roberts. Stacey was the mother of 15 foster children and is survived by nieces and nephews, Rokki Ford Roberts, Dawna Faith Kellar, Frank Isaac Roberts, Barbara Waddell, Mary Beth Bacarisse, Lonnie Roberts, Jr., Jennie Silvestain, and JoAnn Kayton. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2005 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bergstrom officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
