Mrs. Mangham earned her B.A. degree from Louisiana Tech University. While there, she was a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Fraternity and kappa Delta Social Sorority. She studied for her Masters at LSU. She taught in the Richland Parish school system for 32 years. She became the publisher of the Richland Beacon-News, which had been in his family since 1869. She was a member of the St. David's Episcopal Church, Boeuf River Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Town and Country Club, Richland Parish Retired Teacher's Association and St. Hilda's Auxillary of her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Francis Victor Jordan and Jennie Hampton Jordan; her husband, Hervey Slaughter Mangham; brothers, John Thomas Jordan, Sr. and Harrison Jordan III; and a great niece. Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Jordan Barthel.

She was survived by her sister, Mrs. Mary Francis Jordan Shamblin of Rayville; nephews and nieces.
