Mr. Don Mitchell, age 77, of the Harman community, died Friday, July 29, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 1 at the Gatesville Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Booth officiating. Burial followed in the Pidcoke Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell was born on September 5, 1927 in Temple, Texas to the late Foster and Bertha Robinett Mitchell. He grew up and went to school in the Pidcoke and Harman communities and in Gatesville. He married JoAnn Wilkins on June 9, 1951 and they resided in the Harman community all their married life. He was a rancher. Mr. Mitchell was a deacon and member of Pidcoke Baptist Church for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn Mitchell of the Harman community; daughters, Genia Baize and husband, Mike, also of the Harman community and Kay Stoldt and husband, Mike of Angleton; granddaughters, Laura Manning and husband, Jason and Mary Rox and husband, Josh; and a brother, Jack Mitchell of Gatesville; and one great-grandson.

Memorials may be given to Pidcoke Baptist Church, 11231 F.M. 116, Gatesville, TX, 76528.
