Nathan Daniel Butler age 19 of Purcell, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 9, 2013 after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born on January 16, 1994 in Chanute, Kansas to Charles and Pamela "Miner" Butler. Nathan attended Webb City High School and graduated in the class of 2012. He enjoyed fishing, camping, visiting zoos, and hot rods. He was a big OU fan and most of all he was a very caring and loving young man. Nathan always wanted to pray for and do for others; he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oronogo, and he loved his church very much. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Don and Roberta Miner, Willard "Pat" and Mary Butler; cousins, Ricky Gross and Matt Koenig. Nathan is survived by his parents, sister, Sierra Butler of the home; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Oronogo with Reverend Darin Youngberg officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City. The family has suggested memorial donations can be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in his memory.
