Anthony Joseph Compton, 38, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away Aug. 3, 2013 in Price, Utah. He was born Oct. 16, 1974, in Las Vegas, to Ronald A. and Lucille J. Bonaquisto Compton. Anthony was a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, class of 1993. He attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah and CEU in Price, where he attained an associate degree. Anthony moved to Utah in 2008, and was currently residing in South Jordan. He loved playing baseball, hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with family. He also devoted his time supporting those in recovery at the Phoenix Recovery Center in South Jordan. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; and brother, Ronnie. He is survived by his mother, Lucille Compton; sisters, Nicole (Robert) Bone, Holly Breiner; nieces, Gina and Isabella; the Bonaquisto and Evans families; and many close friends who touched Anthony's life the past few years. He was so loved by his family and friends and we already miss him. Visitation and viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at St Viators Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas. Committal service to follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Anthony J. Compton Memorial Fund through Wells Fargo Bank. The proceeds will be to support the rebuilding of lives and health of the people he was so passionate about. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price, and Palm Mortuary of Las Vegas.
