Vee was born in Isleton, CA to Floyd and Ann King. She graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento, CA in 1948. Shortly thereafter, she married L. Duane Woodfin and they had 4 children.
Being the wife of a pastor, they lived in many cities, including San Francisco, Orcutt, Pacifica, Altadena, Playa Del Rey, Granada Hills and Los Altos.
Vee obtained her bachelors and masters degrees at Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley State Colleges and later received her School Psychologist's Credential at San Jose State University. She was both a counselor and teacher in the Los Altos School District from 1967 to 1978.
From 1978-1998, Vee was a top producing real estate agent with Seville Properties in Los Altos. In her first year, she received four first place awards from the Los Altos Board of Realtors and was on the Board's top production awards' list every year. In her 20 year real estate career, Vee was involved in over 800 sale transactions. Vee was very committed to and greatly enjoyed working with other real estate agents in the area and her many clients.
Vee also adored being a grandmother and was very much loved by her grandchildren and great-grandbabies.
Vee is survived by her husband of 12 years, John Wingfield; her twin brother Leon King (Ida) of Westlake Village; sister Dorcys Burchell of Walnut Grove; son John Woodfin (Paula) of Los Altos; daughter Ann Kent of Costa Mesa; and grandchildren Jeremy and Justin Woodfin, Elizabeth House (Dave), Amanda Richey (Andrew), and Katie Glascoe (Derek) as well as four great-granddaughters, all born in the last 18 months before her death.
Vee was predeceased by her sister Louise Comontofski, her two oldest sons, Stephen and Mark, and her first husband Duane.
Vee made a lasting impression and will be remembered by all that were close to her.
