BAXTER: Funeral services for Mary Lou Ashburn, 68, of Baxter were held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial was in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ashburn died, Nov 15, 2003 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Dekalb Co. on July 14, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Alene Puckett Ervin.

Mrs. Ashburn was retired from Acme Boot and attended Ozion Freewill Baptist Church.

Her family includes her husbanc, Roosevelt Ashburn of Baxter, one son and daughter in-law, Milt and Donna Ashburn of Baxter, one daughter and son in-law, June and Le Grande Smith of Cookeville, one brother, Lynn Ervin of Baxter, one sister, Elsie Combs of Crossville, a granddaughter and spouse, Julie Ashburn and Tommy Madewell, and a granddaughter and fiance, Jamie Ashburn and Joseph Sims, a granddauther in-law, Cristy Madewell and one great granddaughter Bradie Madewell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Ervin and a grandson, Brad Madewell.

Pallbearers were Greg and Carlyn Thomas, Leonard Flatt, Larry Stamps, Alfred Ashburn and Le Grande Smith.

Brs. Bob Pharris, Joe Britt Jr. and Tommy Benson officiated the service.
