J.M. Moser Dies At 86
NORTH BEND-Joseph M. Moser, 86, resident of Dodge County 70 years, died Tuesday morning at the Dodge County Community Hospital. He had been ill briefly.
Mr. Moser came to Dodge County from Switzerland with his parent when he was 16. The family settled on a farm six miles southwest of Hooper. He farmed there until retiring in 1943. Mr. Moser was born April 24, 1874, Bruni Alpthal, Switzerland. He and Caroline Baechler were married Nov. 15, 1989, at Ridgeley Catholic Church. She died Oct. 21, 1943.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Herink of Leigh; Mrs. Emil (Catherine) Kasik of Richland; Mrs. Allan (Angela) Wagner of Inglewood, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence ( Etta) Emanuel of Fremont; Mrs. Al (Betty) Parr of Scribner and Mrs. Roy ( Sally) Packer of Clifton, Kan.; six sons, Joe of Humphrey, Louis of Hawthorne, Calif., Lawrence of Columbus, Raymond of Omaha and Edward and Vincent of North Bend; a sister, Mrs. Anton Wisniski of Dodge; 63 grandchildren and 78 great grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 4 and 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Moser Funeral Home in North Bend. The body will be taken to the Al Parr residence in Scribner Friday at 8 a.m. and will lie in state until services. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. Burial is to be in Ridgeley Cemetery.
