Donald Gene Brown, 77, of Yarmouth died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born September 11, 1935 in Burlington to John W. and Mildred L. Rappenecker Brown. On August 11, 1963 in Mediapolis, he married Lila Ruth Rice. He was a graduate of Yarmouth High School in 1954. He was a proud, lifelong farmer, and member of the NRA and the Cattlemen's Association. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, racing and farming. He was in the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dewayne Brown.
