Freddie Lee, 65, of Ballinger, passed away at his residence Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. He was born on July 2, 1948, to Roy and Katie (Robinson) Lee in Ballinger, Texas. He was a general contractor specializing in fence building. Freddie enjoyed rodeos, long talks with friends, fishing and cooking. He was baptized at Glory Road Cowboy Church in Ballinger. One of his favorite ways to describe himself was "I'm a simple man, simply right and everyone else is wrong."

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents; sister Roy Ann Rogers; and uncle William "Dub" Robinson. He is survived by four daughters, Dawn Washington, Kellie Barton, Staci Storey, Toby Lee; a son, John Roy Lee; and sisters Donna Hedrick and Carolyn Martin. Also surviving are grandchildren Blake and Dylan Washington, Kevin and Kyle Allen, Katelyn, Jordan, Haley and Lanie Storey, Clayton and Alexa; a great-grandchild, Kynzlee Allen; nephews Ricky Clark, Sheldon Collins, Doug Colling, Jodi Weaver, Bruce Witler; and nieces Louann Stanley, Thersa Kennemer and Dena Souder.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Service is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Glory Road Cowboy Church with Myron Halford and Jonathon Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Crews Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Crews Cemetery or a favorite charity . Arrangements are with Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.
