Bill was born in Indianapolis on March 3, 1929. He was a 1947 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired after 40+ years in the art department at Howard W Sams Publishing Company of Indianapolis.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Hurley and Lois Hurley (nee Clayton).
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Hurley (Aukerman); and his children, Bruce Hurley (Indianapolis, IN), Craig Hurley (North Aurora, IL), and Jill and Martin Nagy (Rosedale, IN). Other survivors include his sister, Mary Lou Manka (Indianapolis, IN); and his grandchildren.
