HERMIT CARROLL BARNWELL, 62, Warrior Rt. 1, died Saturday. A lifelong Jefferson County resident, he was a retired forest ranger and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral was today at the church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Messmer Funeral Home, Warrior, directing. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Lou Barnwell; four sons, J.D. Barnwell, Roanoke, N.C., David Eugene and Richard Lamar Barnwell, both of Warrior, and Roland Ferrell Barnwell, Mt. Olive: five brothers, Larry and Allison Barnwell, both of Morris, Edron B., Paul and Emery B. Barnwell, all of Warrior, and three sisters, Mrs. Lyda Flora Cato, Trafford, Mrs. Louise Cato, Hayden, and Mrs. Edith Guthrie, Warrior.
