Mr. Lamar Ransom, 83, a longtime resident of Jonesboro, passed away, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Piedmont Henry Hospital. He passed away peacefully and quickly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Corine Ransom, and most recently by his oldest son; Randy Lamar Ransom. He is survived by his son, Ray Ransom, of Decatur. A garden service will take place at St. Johns Episcopal Church at a later date
