Mary Phyllis Gutierrez was the daughter of Tomas A. and Maria Consuelo (Manchego) Quintana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Andrea Johnston; sister, Mary J. Swindle; and brothers, Severo, Abel, Edward and Mike Quintana. She is survived by a daughter and a son; four brothers; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary was held Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Saguache. Mass of the Resurrection was held Friday, August 9, at Saint Agnes Church followed by interment at Chicago Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista took care of the arrangements.
