Donald Lee Crites, age 77 of Mockingbird Lane, Old Fields, WV, passed away Saturday evening, March 7, 2015 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born June 24, 1937 in Kessel, WV, he was the son of the late Cleland Andy Crites and Mable Grace (Runions) Crites. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Lola D. (Bosley) Crites in November 2008. A son Donald L. Crites, II, four brothers, Emmett, Charles, Machir & William and a sister, Ethel Myers also preceded him in death. A member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, he was a retired truck driver from Pilgrim’s Pride and drove a school bus for Hardy County Schools for 10 years.
Surviving is a daughter, Robin (Leon) Wolfe of Old Fields, WV; three sons, Kenny Crites of Old Fields,WV, Kevin (Sherri) Crites of Lahmansville, WV and Mike Crites of Petersburg, WV; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Lucy Webster officiating. Interment will follow at the Crites-Bosley-Wolfe Cemetery, Old Fields, WV.
Surviving is a daughter, Robin (Leon) Wolfe of Old Fields, WV; three sons, Kenny Crites of Old Fields,WV, Kevin (Sherri) Crites of Lahmansville, WV and Mike Crites of Petersburg, WV; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
