MRS. PETRI OF WAYNE DEAD AT 81
Mrs. Alma M. Petri, 81, of Wayne, died Thursday at Clear Lake Nursing Home.She was born Jan. 7, 1880, in the Town of Polk, Washington County, a daughter of Henry and Catherine Jacklin Hembel. She was married to Ralph Petri at Waco, Tex., on Dec. 26, 1917.Mrs. Petri was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Wayne, and was active in church and community affairs. She was a school teacher in Washington County for many years, and later operated a general store in Wayne.Surviving are two daughters, Miss Paula Petri of Wayne and Mrs. Kenneth Koepke of Milwaukee; one son, R. George Petri of West Bend; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Laura Stahl of La Crosse.Funeral services will be held at 13:30 p.m. Monday at Salem United Church of Christ, Wayne, with the Rev. Daniel Schowalter officiating. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Cemetery West Bend.Friends may call from 3 o 9 p.m. Sunday at Mller’s Funeral Home, Kewaskum, and at the church from noon Monday until the time of services.
