Kathy Jones Graham of Mansfield and formerly of San Angelo, went to dance and sing with Jesus on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. She was 69 years young. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Grape Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan Easterly, Leonard Branaman, Justin Owen and Kodi Tanner.

Kathy was born on Nov. 30, 1943, to William Henry and Frances Walcott Ligon in San Angelo, Texas. She will be remembered as an amazing person and as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a selfless person who always concerned herself with the well being of others. As someone who was caring and nurturing, she would always want to know how someone was doing. Kathy loved to spend time with her family no matter what. Family cookouts, barbeques, fishing and hunting trips or even camping gave her much joy. Each morning she enjoyed drinking coffee with the neighbor ladies and formed enduring friendships with each of them. Her unconditional love showed each time someone new joined the family as she treated each new member as her own. Kathy loved to cook and bake and was famous for her spaghetti, pigs in a blanket, sweets and all around good food. PTA and being a homeroom mom kept her busy and so did her animals. She always had dogs, sometimes more than one. Her favorites were a bird dog pointer named "Sam" and a cow named "Cowzy". She last few years of her life brought her the most joy. She had so much fun and enjoyed being around family as much as her illness allowed. One of the fondest memories she had was of riding the train at the zoo with her great-grandson. She felt like a kid again. She will be greatly missed by many.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Ronald W. Jones and Gene Graham; and a sister, Ginger Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Easterly and husband Roy of Carlsbad, Texas, and Rhonda Miller and husband Mike of Mansfield, Texas; grandchildren Kristen Owen and husband Justin of San Angelo, Melanie Miller and fiance Kodi Tanner of Mansfield, Texas, and Ryan Easterly of San Angelo; great-grandson Zane Owen of San Angelo; beloved sister-in-law, Brenda Nowlin of Castell, Texas; and niece and nephews, Vanessa Roberts of Wills Point, Texas, and Shawn and Shane Nowlin of Fort Worth. Until we meet again. "Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death." Isaiah 57:2 The family would like to thank the staff at Myrtlewood Estates, Heart to Heart Hospice of Fort Worth, Mansfield Methodist Hospital 5th floor nurses and doctors and the staff of Matlock Place in Arlington. Donations may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in Kathy's memory.
