Steven Ross St. Pierre,61, of Greenwood passed away on Monday, August 5, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on October 5, 1951 in Indianapolis a son of Robert Ross and Gaile (Cousins) St. Pierre. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Brenda.

Survivors include his loving wife Deb, daughter Jill (Brian) Pierle of Franklin, step son Matthew (Stephanie) Simmons of Orlando, FL, step daughter Anne M. Simulia of Greenwood, 6 grandchildren; Bryant, Ashley, Brynn, Max, Nola Blair, and Madilynn. Also surviving is his brother Michael R. (Betty) St. Pierre of Greenwood.

Steve was a 1970 graduate of Southport High School and later graduated from Vincennes University, Western Kentucky University, and Indiana College of Mortuary Science.

He was an active member of Murat Shrine, both as a Highlander and Past Director of the Royal Order of Jesters Court #15. He was Shriner of the Year in 2002. He was a member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #398 F & A.M., the Valley of Indianapolis, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Indianapolis York Rite Bodies, Royal Order of Scotland, and a Veteran member of the Murat Highlanders.

Steve was very involved in the community. He was Past President and longtime member of Sertoma Club of Greenwood and belonged to Southport High School Alumni Association Board, and for over twenty years was a member of the Scholarship Committee. He was the co-founder of the Johnson County Community Foundation St Pierre Youth Leadership Fund. He also belonged to Lambda Chi Alpha National Fraternity. He was an avid golfer and a lifelong member of Dye's Walk Country Club.

He was a member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association and Selected Independent Funeral Homes.

He began his funeral service career at the family's Pendleton, IN location where he ran both the funeral home and ambulance service. He returned to the Southside in 1985 to take a more active role on the corporate side of the business. Steve was President of JC Wilson and Company Inc and Greater Southside Crematory at the time of his death.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Wil son St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel , 481 West Main Street, Greenwood. A funeral mass will be on Friday at 10 a.m. in Saints Francis & Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood. Father Vince Lampert will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children, 510 North New Jersey Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 and to the Steven St. Pierre Southport High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, c/o P.O. Box 33045, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
