I,William JAmes Walker, was born to William Henson and Sarah Ellen Chirstensen Walker, June 29, 1894, at Pleasant Grove, Utah.
I spent my entire life in Pleasant Grove, where I attended school, and worked on my father's farm, until I was 24 years old.
I met and married Nellie Matilda Bullock of Cresent, Utah, Nov. 20, 1918.
We were blessed with four sons, one dying at birth, and three married- two liviing in Pleasant Grove, and one in California. I have seven grandchildren.
In 1918 I worked for the Union Pacific, and in 1928 I worked for the Orem Railroad. In 1942 I started to work at Geneva Steel Co., and am now in my eighteenth year on this job. I am in good health, and still able to work every day.
On Feb 16, 1952, I lost my wife. She passed away in the Provo Hospital, and was buried Feb 20., 1952 in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
I am a member of the LDS Church, and was baptized on Aug. 5, 1905.
I was married to Margaret McBride from Heber City, Utah, Oct 17, 1960. We both enjoy working in our flower garden and orchard.
It has been wonderful to enjoy good health all my life, and to be a member of the LDS church. I enjoy mingling with people and having a lot of good friends. I remember the teachings I received from my father and mother; "Do unto others as you owuld have them do unto you."
This I have practiced, and have reaped a lot of good from it.
