Murrill Barry was one of the very few Navarro County men that served in this company [4th Texas Volunteer Infantry] that was present for duty for most of the war and paroled at Appomattox Court House at the close.
He is buried next to his wife Rebecca in the Calvary cemetery in Marlin, Falls Co. Texas.
