Milton Henry Draper, 84, of 111 Hidden Valley Drive, Martinsville, died Dec. 10, 2003, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.

Born Dec. 7, 1919, in Henry County, his parents were the late Mike Truman Draper and Alma Gregory Draper. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse, Tommy and Windell Draper.

He served with the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II; retired from Dan Baptist Lumber and previously worked for V.M. Draper Manufacturers.

He was a member of the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a past lay leader and served as church building chairman.

Surviving are his wife, Mamie Nunn Draper of the home; a daughter, Linda Draper Powell of Fork Mountain; a son, Henry Alvin Draper of the home; a sister, Marie Draper Patterson of Martinsville; two brothers, Hugh Draper and Bobby Draper, both of Martinsville; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Norris Funeral Services with the Revs. Morris Fleischer and Terry Young officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park..

The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today, and other times at the home.
