Dr. Horace Richardson, who died suddenly in this city Thursday of heart failure, was well known here, notwithstanding the number of years he passed abroad. He was born in Boston Jan 7, 1830 and in 1846, he entered the Boston Latin School. He fitted for Harvard and in 1852 graduated in the same class as K.W. Sears whose death in announced. Dr. Richardson was at one time president of the Boston Chess Club. In 1855, he secured at the Harvard Medical School his degree of M.D., but devoted very little time to practice, his abundant means allowing him the privilege of numerous visits and prolonged residence abroad.
