Creta Johnson, 90, Blythedale, Missouri, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at an area health care center. She was born September 26, 1909, in Ridgeway, Missouri, the daughter of Louie Burton Stiner and Cora Ann (Shepard) Stiner.
She married Rollin Johnston. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1980.
She was a teacher and taught for 45 years in Harrison County, Missouri retiring from Eagleville, Missouri. She was a graduate of Ridgeway, Missouri High School, a graduate of Maryville, Missouri Teacher's College, and attended DeVry Technical Institute, where she received a General Class Amateur Radio Operator's License, and operated under the call letters KAQGOH.
She was a member of the Harrison County Genealogical Society and a member of the Retired Teacher's Association. She also was a member of the Baptist Church in Blythedale, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Wilson, Farmington, Missouri, and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the First Baptist Church, Blythedale, Missouri. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, Missouri, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m.
