Orville K. Landon 79, Holton, died Sunday, Jan, 19, at a Topeka Hospital.
Mr. Landon was a bookkeeper for Haubold-Clark Chevrolet, Co. at Holton 26 years before he retired. Previously he was a schoolteacher 12 years at Delia and in other Jackson county schools.
He was born Dec. 5, 1906, at Mayetta, the son of William Earl and Mabel Durkee Landon. He spent most of his life in the Holton community. He was a member of First United Methodist church, Holton Lodge No. 42, AF&AM, and a member and past patron of Columbian Chapter No. 152, Order of Eastern Star, all at Holton. He was a 33rd-degree Mason, a member of Topeka, and a past commander of York Rite bodies at Hiawatha.
He was married to Abbie Mae Johnson April 23, 1927, at Holton. She died June 27, 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Kingsborough, Tempe, Az.; a brother Clyde Landon, Mayetta; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Burial at Holton Cemetery, Holton, Kansas.
