Gary had a love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter around his 40 acres of family farm land that he owned and maintained for over 30 years. Gary did retire from H- Machining in Bryan in June of 2009, with over 17 years as a machinist. Prior to this he was a general supervisor at Mohawk Tools, Inc. in Montpelier for 27 years. Gary did attend Christian Mercy Fellowship in Ney, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Larry, Robert and Charles Zimmer.
Visitation hours for Gary will be on Monday, December 5th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer. Services will be on Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor James Reeb to officiate. Interment will be at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer. Donations can be made to Christian Mercy Fellowship.
