A. Harold, June 15, 2001. Born in Detroit on April 15, 1908. Baptized at St. Anne's Parish. He was one of 12 children born to Elizabeth and Fred Durocher. He was with GM Chevrolet from 1926 until his in 1968 ad Traffic Manager in the GM Building, except the years spent in the Air Force in WWII. After retirement from GM, he ten developed a 4000-tree apple orchard in Emmett, Michigan. He later moved to Florida. Four years ago, he returned to his home in Detroit, MI. He was a Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree member, served as a Lector in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Emmett, MI. Dear brother of Violet Schuld and Sister Irene Durocher, S.C.C. of Wilmette, IL. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Ann, Al, Louise, Ruth, Edward, and Glen. Also survived by devoted nieces and nephews. Visitation Fred Wood Funeral Home (Rice Chapel), 36100 Five Mile Road, 1 mile west of Farmington Road, Monday and Tuesday, 1-3 and 5-9 p.m., Rosary Tuesday 7:30 p.m., in state St. Aldan Catholic Church, 10:30 a.m. until Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sisters of Christian Charity, Sacred Heart Center, 2221 Elmwood, Wilmette, IL 60091; or Monastery St, Theresa Child of Jesus, Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 35759 Moravian Drive, Clinton Township, MI 48035-2138.
