Jewell Boole Tatum, 85, died June 15, 2005, at her home. A native of Marionville, Va., she was the daughter of the late James David Boole and the late Elizabeth Parramore Boole. Mrs. Tatum was a retired secretary and bookkeeper for Smith Douglas Corp./Division of Borden. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and Mildred Stephenson Chapter No. 117 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Burleigh M. Tatum; two sisters, Catherine B. Wilkerson and her husband Roy of Selbyville, Del., and Ethel B. Bonifant of Lakewood, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Red Bank Baptist Church, Marionville, Va., with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. William Nieporte will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421.
