Bluford Howard Abney age 45, of Barker Lane in Berea, died Thursday at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington. Mr. Abney was of the Baptist faith and a vereran of the U. S. Army.
Mr. Abney is survived by: father, Everett Abney of Berea, Ky.; brothers, Preston (Linda) Abney of Berea, Jimmy (Lisa) Abney, of Richmond, Ky., Lee Abney of Berea, Ky., Vernon (Martha) Abney of Berea, Ky., Lewis Abney of Louisville, Ky., Doug (Debbie) Abney of Berea, Ky. and Mitchell Abney of Berea, Ky.; sisters, Mary (J.B.) Combs of Chatsworth, Ga., Allie (Ray) Wood of Rockcastle County, Sara (Roy) Combs and Kay Abney of Berea, Ky. Also surviving are 3 very special people he considered his family, Jamie Flynn, Rushelle and Rusanna Horn of Berea, Ky.
Mr. Abney was preceded in death by his mother, May Gadd Abney.
Funeral services for Mr. Abney will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Davis-Witt Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Parllbearers will be; David Dickerson, Bradley Combs, Jerrod Abney, Chad Abney, Shaun Abney, Jeremy Abney, Tim Abney, Mike Quinley and Brian Brooks.
