"Briefs From All Around The County: Doniphan"
Mrs. A. C. Alexander, mother of Mrs. W. S. Pickens, passed away at her home in Hastings Tuesday morning following an illness of only a few days. Mrs. Pickens had been in Hastings at her mother's bedside since Saturday. The sympathy of the community goes out to Mrs. Pickens and her father, who has been an invalid for a number of years. The death of the wife and mother following that of the daughter and sister, Mrs. Earl Taylor, who passed away at her home in Columbus, O., only a few weeks ago, makes their sorrow doubly hard to bear.
