Fannie Strickland

Fannie Strickland, age 95, of Alma died Monday afternoon August 5th, 2013 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Wayne County but had lived in Bacon County since 1999. She was daughter of the late David Aldrich and Delphia Aldrich Aldrich and was also preceded in death by her husband B D Strickland and several brothers and sisters. Fannie was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Kenny Guest (Ethel) of Offerman, Jimmy Strickland (Carole) of Cobb, Ga., Harry Guest of Alma, three daughters, Ilene Strickland of Hortense, Glenda Guest (Bill) of the State of Texas, Grace Douglas (Darrell) of Alma, seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Laura Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pierce County. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 o'clock until funeral time. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Pine Level Free Baptist Church Building Fund.

Active pallbearers will be, Lane Dailey, Dr. Doug Dailey, Marc Hand, David Hand, Larry Douglas and Calvin Morris. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
